Sports Injury & Physiotherapy Clinic

Career
Lindsay qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 from Robert Gordon University going on to complete 2 years basic rotational training with Greater Glasgow and Clyde having her base at the Golden Jubilee National Waiting Times Hospital.

In 2008 she had a career break from Physiotherapy, and went onto train as a Body Control Pilates Instructor in Cape Town. Passing her matwork examinations she continued to work throughout that year becoming more experienced within the pilates field and working with many different instructors and furthered her training by completing the intermediate matwork exam as well.

She returned to Scotland in 2009 and took a role as a static Musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapist at Pollok Health centre as well as starting a part time role at Ross Hall Hospital working within the outpatient department within the private sector. In March 2010 she moved to a short term 4 month role within cardiac rehabilitation at the new Victoria Hospital in Glasgow before moving onto work at Drumchapel Health Centre in her preferred field of MSK physio gaining more valuable experience working within a lovely team and busy clinic.

Her husband’s career then took them back to Southern Africa in 2013 and a move to Gaborone in Botswana where she started working within a private practice clinic, Physio and Rehab. Their moves continued, taking them to Maun in Botswana, gateway to the Okavango Delta, where she went on to set up her own private practice in 2015. There she stayed with her feet mainly in one place until 2025 when her family decided it was time to relocate back to Scotland to be closer to family. The years of owning her own clinic gave her a wealth of experience in many different ways.

Approach

Lindsay approaches every patient with a holistic view, gaining valuable insight into what makes them tick and what they need to gain from their physiotherapy appointment. She tries to get to the root cause of the issues by gathering thorough information from her patients and using that as well as a clear assessment which helps guide the sessions. Both her Orthopaedic Medicine courses and Pilates have given her clinical skills which help move things forward in the right direction.

Interests

Two daughters keep Lindsay’s life full with activities and trying to fit in some fun family time together and she enjoys nothing more than being with her family and her two dogs on a walk somewhere!
